Julie Goerlinger is a civil litigation trial attorney with experience in the areas of personal injury, contracts, real estate, employment, business, consumer and copyright law. Prior to becoming a trial attorney, she was a litigation paralegal for 13+ years handling high exposure injury claims and complex business litigation. She has experience at all stages of litigation including preparing and responding to pleadings, discovery, summary judgment, trial, post-trial motions and appeals. She has tried in excess of 15 cases as lead counsel and/or second chair through verdict. Her vast experience was gained working with trial attorneys who impressed upon her the importance of preparing every case, small or large, to go trial, and that the small details matter.
For the majority of her career, Julie has worked with small boutique firms who have taken on large firms such as Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan and O’Melveny & Meyers in the prosecution of IP, corporate espionage actions in state court and the Central District of California that ultimately reached a favorable settlement.
Julie has acted in every capacity in a law firm from receptionist to trial attorney. After being a paralegal for many years, Julie returned to school to pursue her J.D. Julie worked her way through law school while also raising two small children with her husband. After passing the California State Bar, she hit the ground running and has never looked back. She has represented individuals and business entities in the prosecution and defense of claims, including real estate brokers, small business owners, general contractors, auto manufacturers and large online retailers.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the river and spending time with her family and friends.
